Our aim is to make watch buying easier to assess. This page explains the standards used for the current collection of guides.
Research and hands-on testing
A research-based guide uses documented specifications and clearly framed analysis. It does not claim personal ownership, wearing time or measured performance. Any future hands-on article should identify the exact reference, how the sample was obtained, the testing period and the methods behind measurements.
Sources and prices
We prefer the manufacturer’s exact-reference page for dimensions, materials and movement specifications. Source links appear in the article. Where regional sources differ, we identify that difference. A quoted price includes its region and the date checked; availability and prices can change before or after publication. Ask the seller to confirm the details of your purchase.
Images and AI assistance
Some images use AI to compose an editorial setting from an identified watch product reference. These images are labelled. They are not evidence that we handled the watch, and fine lettering, finish or proportions may differ from a physical example. Use the linked manufacturer images when checking exact appearance or authenticity.
We also use AI-assisted drafting and research tools. The presence of those tools does not replace source checking, and we welcome corrections when a fact has been missed.
Commercial links
The guides prepared in September 2026 use direct manufacturer and information links. Where an article contains a commission-earning link, we will identify that relationship. A link does not constitute a guarantee about a seller, stock or returns. See our disclosure.
